Congratulations to Kennedy Ochieng, winner of the 2026-2027 EnerGIS Scholarship.
Kennedy's project:
"Hydrological Resilience in a reshaped world: Modelling Infiltration shifts in Appalachian Mountaintop Removal mining and Valley fill landscapes." was selected as the winner of the 2026 competition.
Kennedy will be presenting his project at the 2026 conference.
Kennedy will receive another $3000 in 2026 based upon maintenance of her college enrollment and QPA.

Grace Braver of East Tennessee State University selected as our 2025-2026 Scholarship recipient
Congratulations to Grace Braver, winner of the 2025-2026 EnerGIS Scholarship.
Grace's project:
"Landslide Prediction Along the Nolichucky River: A Deep Learning and Statistical Modeling Framework Incorporating Landslide Data." was selected as the winner of this year's competition.
Grace will be presenting on her geospatial work at the 2025 conference.
